She discovered first her passion for painting when she was 35 years old, living in New Delhi, and was inspired and coached by a fellow Russian artist who assisted in educating her trough methods, skills, and motivation to paint.
Much to her dismay, Marie left New Delhi and did not start painting for almost two decades, which instead took place later and after moving to Stockholm. At that time in her life painting became a true passion!
By using both abstract and realistic motifs, she depicts nature from her perspective.
The motifs of her paintings are a true ode to Mother Nature. Green forests, high mountains and water, inner visions captured from her childhood in India and rediscovered in colors and form at her adult life.
